New Life

Yesterday was Easter! The celebration of Jesus' work on the cross and the new life that he brings to us. For me, the last several months have been filled with lots of pain and betrayal and doubt. I have spent a lot of time dwelling on the wrongs done to me and on the betrayal that has left a deep scar across my heart. But yesterday as I sat in church listening to a young boy share with us how Jesus filled his heart and changed his life, I began to think of forgiveness. Of love. Of everlasting peace. Jesus has changed my life too. And I can love and forgive fully because of him. We have all betrayed Jesus, and he has given us abundant grace. I too can forgive and love with the power of Jesus.
